-Bay Area native Jeff Paras (DJ Detect) discovered the art of DJing during his elementary school years and was instantly amazed. For Jeff, to become a DJ was now a dream. He began purchasing records to build a collection just in case that dream would become a reality one day. In the spring of 1993 Jeff’s dream became a reality when he purchased his very first DJ mixer. Jeff began practicing and teaching himself how to mix which came naturally just by watching other DJs through the years. Jeff began to offer his DJ services to friends and family as the music and entertainment for various house parties. Jeff got his first big booking in the spring of 1994 to DJ his own high school’s dance and would continue to DJ high school dances, birthday parties, and weddings. In late 1997 Jeff got the opportunity try out and DJ at a popular San Francisco night club, City Nights where he eventually became one of the resident DJs for Platinum Event’s Club Platinum Wednesdays. It also opened the doors to DJ at other night clubs in San Francisco, San Jose, The Peninsula, Sacramento, Los Angeles, and San Antonio, TX.
Nowadays Jeff’s focuses on providing professional DJ and Emcee services for weddings, public/private, and corporate events while also booking occasional bars and lounges. Jeff combines his own style along with what he learned while DJing in the night clubs and incorporates it in his events. His ability to creatively mix music from all genres from 70′s, 80′s, Hip Hop, Top 40, and more… Jeff is a sure crowd pleaser and will make any event fun and energetic.
